Kambrians, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Vietnam AI Grand Challenge! The AI movement is heating up around the world and Vietnam is joining the race. In conjunction with the Vietnamese government's Ministry of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Planning & Investment, Kambria will work alongside McKinsey & Company, VietAI, and the Vietnam Innovation Network to deliver a series of hackathons and educational workshops focused on AI and Robotics. The goal is to develop a deeper understanding of AI within the Vietnamese tech community and to connect talented developers with large corporations; leading projects will be incubated and further developed for global impact.

This initiative will kickstart the campaign of AI learning and development in Vietnam by gathering the country’s best talent and supporting them with world-class resources. The Vietnam AI Grand Challenge is part of Kambria’s Global Grand Challenge, which will take place in major tech hubs around the world, with the goal of growing Kambria’s user and developer communities. All hackathon participants will be utilizing  Kambria platform’s bounty.

The theme of this year’s Vietnam AI Grand Challenge is the “Ultimate AI Virtual Assistant” and up to $40,000 USD in prizes, payable in cash and KAT tokens, will be awarded to teams who best integrate AI into virtual assistant applications. Assistants that model human interaction to perform multiple tasks are becoming more and more popular across all industries, providing huge benefits to both companies and consumers. Our goal is to identify these beneficial, innovative ideas through our hackathons and support them in scaling globally to achieve the highest value.

The Grand Challenge includes a series of workshops and hackathons that will take place in three cities -- Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, and Hanoi -- beginning in June. The series will culminate in a Grand Finale in mid-August as part of the AI4VN Summit.

To get things started, Kambria is also hosting three information seminars. Come learn about the impact of AI around the world and how Vietnam can best leverage this trend. Vietnamese AI talent and corporates from VietAI and the Vietnam Innovation Network will share the current landscape of the local AI ecosystem, as well as, discuss the breadth of support for Vietnam’s future AI movement.
