Recently, Kambria’s CEO, Thuc Vu, and Head of Special Projects, Dhana Pawar, were invited by Lehigh University to share Kambria's vision at a dinner sponsored by EnjinThe Stanford Faculty Club and Abobe. There they met with 15 Japanese CEOs interested in AI & Data Science whose companies provide products and services in agriculture, waste management, automation, media, and other industries.

Thuc presented Kambria’s vision to the group and discussed our approach to robotics. He also shared information about our new programs such as the Global Innovation Fund, our Open Innovation Hubs, and the way we collaborate with industry and academia. Of course, we brought our Ohmni telepresence robot for attendees to experience. Collective gasps of excitement filled the room!

In January, Kambria launched its Global Innovation Fund by sponsoring a project through Lehigh University’s computer science program. Over the course of the year, students from Lehigh will use the OhmniLabs’ robotic platform, which has been licensed to Kambria for developer use on the Kambria platform. Lehigh researchers will have full access to the open source code to create real-world designs and solutions including facial recognition and possibly guiding users to relevant locations, thereby making the OhmniLabs robot even more useful in daily life scenarios.

We are grateful for this opportunity to further extend Kambria’s vision and reach. A huge thanks to Lehigh University for including us. Please stay tuned for updates on how Lehigh students are using the Kambria platform to push the boundaries of innovation in the areas of navigation, speech, and robotics. We look forward to sharing their progress with you!
