Dear Kambrians,
We are excited to introduce the Home Garden Tech DAO - Where Gardens Blossom With Tech To Green The Planet, a forefront effort dedicated to integrating technology into home gardening and building a network of home gardens for a more sustainable future. Our aim is to provide gardeners worldwide with innovative solutions, community support and society-oriented, fostering greener, more connected ecosystems from the comfort of their own homes.
In this article, we would like to introduce an overview about this DAO. If this resonates with you, join us to be a part of this social impact.
Co-owning technology via Kambria DAOs A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community using blockchain to facilitate decentralized autonomy. The control is spread out among all community members who use governance tokens to vote on DAO’s rules or changes, voting power is equivalent to the number of tokens they possess. By this we can empower the community with trust, transparency and automation, and enable open-source solutions to be commercialized by their community. Each Kambria DAO is started by a Dev Team submitting their proposal with a solution of technology they can develop and open for the community to co-own.Communities collectively buy into the solution by participating in the DAO. Then the Dev Team starts to develop the solution and the development progress will be managed monthly. The DAO as owners of the solution will decide and contribute to the commercialization of the solution, as well as get paid from their contribution. Please check this page for a more detailed model and FAQs of Kambria DAOs. |
Why Home Garden Tech?
Our motivation for developing Home Garden Tech DAO starts from an intense passion to contribute to address dedicated environmental, social, and health issues through innovative solutions. Here are why we initiated this transforming adventure:
- Contribute to environmental sustainability: Home gardening plays a part in mitigating climate change and preserving ecosystems by reducing carbon footprints and promoting sustainable practices.
- Promote public health and well-being: Accessible green spaces created through home gardening provide avenues for stress reduction and mental well-being, fostering healthier communities and lifestyles.
- Inspire education and empowerment: Home gardening initiatives empower individuals with essential skills and knowledge about plant sources, environmental impact, and self-sufficiency.
- Encourage community engagement and resilience: The home garden community brings people together to exchange ideas, mutual support and collective action in order to develop a network to green the earth from their own gardens.
Some statistics we would like to highlight are:
- 55% of American households engage in gardening
- Americans spent over $47 billion on gardening supplies.

Home Garden Tech DAO Solution
Suggested features
From the advantages listed above, Home Garden Tech DAO intends to use technological solutions to optimize and support gardeners, as well as to connect the community in order to encourage others to develop their own gardens.
- The technology solution entails an IoT kit designed for the upkeep of home gardens, offering features such as automated watering for when you're traveling.
- The solution integrates AI-driven image recognition, allowing users to learn about plants, their names and their characteristics, etc.
- Additionally, the solution creates a map of home gardens in the network, promoting the goal of “greening the earth”.
- Users can also join the community to share their experiences, reviews and photos.

The Home Garden Tech DAO (HGTD)
Our approach to build the DAO is to partner with the Dev Teams experienced in R&D this solution, as well as the Service Partners experienced in doing the home gardens services:
Phase 1: Develop a home garden technology solution
Phase 2: Commercialize the solution. with DAO members in each country can, and team up to manufacture and sell products locally, implement services, as well as build a global home garden network.
Phase 3: Create community movement with HGTD Gamification, such as:
- Reward DAO members with LP tokens for contributions to building the home garden network.
- Reward Garden Magicians with DAO LP tokens for their active sharing value insights and their stories with the community.
Phase 4: Speed up to expandincrease the home garden network via community
Partnership invitations
To Dev Teams
If you are experienced in R&D technology solutions for home gardens or similar solutions, and interested in collaborating with HGTD as Dev Team Partner to develop the solution, please submit your proposal by the timeline here to demonstrate how you should be selected to develop this solution.
The proposal should show:
- Team profiles and relevant experiences
- Introduction of your solution such as ideation, market research, prototypes and demos…
- Development plan until the solution is ready for commercialization in the 1st product cycle. Note that the development progress will be managed monthly as per Kambria DAOs model
- Quotation
From our fundraising experiences, we updated our qualification criteria to align with expectations of potential investors, including:
- The teams already have prototype/MVP to prove feasibility of your solution concept
- Your development plan is within 9 months to a complete solution, then the DAO community will join hands to bring it to market
- Your quotation (1st product cycle) is up to $150.000, including prototype/MVP development work.
Please note that this partnership has the potential for long-term collaboration spanning multiple product cycles, contingent upon the success of each cycle.
To Home Garden Service Partners
If you are experienced in doing smart home garden services, and interested in collaborating with HGTD as Home Garden Service Partners, we would love to have your participation in the solution development phase, to survey your needs for the solution as well as collaborate to test the solution in the pilot phase.
Then in the commercialization phase, we can collaborate to implement the Home Garden Technology solutions.
To Fund contributors
Some financial information we would like to highlight for your reference:
- The global smart home gardening market size was valued at USD 2.05 Billion in 2022 and is likely to reach USD 3.41 Billion by 2031, expanding at a CAGR of 5.8 % during 2023 – 2031.
- The growth of the market is attributed to growing urbanization and increasing technological developments in green technologies.
With reference to the cost structure of tech companies especially robotics companies, we define the Kambria DAO financial framework as below (for more information about Kambria DAOs financial framework, governance model and fundraising campaigns please read here):
To Community Partners
Some potential collaborations we would like to propose:
- Raising public awareness: We can cross-share the movement of greening the earth by taking care of our home garden (from small action to give huge impact) among our communities. We can also co-organize activities to raise awareness such as volunteer campaigns, Garden Days….
- HGTD Hubs: Community Partner will lead the DAO community in your Hub to participate in the solution commercialization and get paid for the Hub’s contribution
If you have any additional collaboration ideas, please share with us at info@kambria.io.
