“Polygon to facilitate and accelerate open innovation services to global developers”
Silicon Valley, CA – Today, Polygon, the blockchain scalability platform previously known as Matic, joined Kambria to bring low-cost, rapid transactions to our native cryptocurrency, KAT. In addition to the utilization of Polygon’s blockchain scaling solution, otherwise known as “Layer 2 Scaling,” our teams are working together to explore offering new NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and expanding on Kambria’s new DeFi product, Kambria Yield Tuning Engine (KYTE). This partnership will enable innovators and developers globally to participate in open innovation from anywhere in the world, without the congestion and extremely high fees that most major blockchains are facing today.
Dr. Thuc Vu, CEO and Co-Founder of Kambria and the global telepresence robotics company OhmniLabs, said of the partnership, “Polygon is a leading project exploring connectivity between Ethereum-compatible blockchains as a solution to solve the challenges that we face today with many public chains being overwhelmed with transactions, leading to fees that price out a large number of people. We are thrilled to be working with them to offer rapid and inexpensive transactions within our ecosystem, and explore the opportunity to increase our exposure to DeFi and NFTs.”
Kambria is the first decentralized open innovation platform for AI & Robotics. Using our platform, anyone can collaborate in researching, developing and commercializing innovative ideas and get rewarded fairly for their contributions. Through partnerships with government agencies, top universities and leading companies, Kambria is dedicated to building a sustainable open innovation ecosystem to change the way we innovate and to accelerate advanced technology development and industry adoption.
Formely known as Matic, Polygon aims to enable Ethereum to become a full-fledged, powerful multi-chain system. Polygon Hybrid POS-Plasma Chain is a blockchain scalability solution which provides secure, scalable and instant transactions powered by PoS side chains and an adapted version of Plasma. Polygon aims to change the slow, expensive, and complex decentralized transactions by leveraging a combination of blockchain scaling, developer platform and tools, and a rabid focus on user experience. They aspire to see a world where blockchain gains mainstream adoption, and fulfills it’s true promise, enabling Ethereum to become a full-fledged, powerful multi-chain system.
