Dear Kambria Community,
Summer is here, and Kambria is getting hotter! We have made great progress on all fronts since our last update. As usual, we want to give our community a recap on what we have achieved in the past month.
Development
Open Innovation
On May 23, we published a Medium post about Open Innovation. We started with an open robotics platform that is similar to Android or Linux but would include both hardware and software components. Over time we are growing this into a network of repositories, spanning across many technology verticals like healthcare, education, automotive, social impact as well as robotics and AI. The repositories will be semantically linked to each other for better access and more effective collaborations. For example, self-driving cars will share certain technology components with autonomous robots.
KambriaVote
We are happy to announce that KambriaVote is available for testing now! Voting is a core mechanism on Kambria. The ability to elect experts, vote on issues, signal preferences and development directions allows the community to drive innovation across various verticals. KambriaVote is an on-chain voting mechanism create for Kambria. KambriaVote is an improvement of CarbonVote. For more technical details about KambriaVote, please see our Medium post.
Partnership
We have established new strategic partnerships with Midas Protocol and TomoChain. As part of the partnerships, Dr. Long Vuong - CEO of Tomochain, and Dr. David Nguyen - Chairmain/CFO of Midas Protocol, will join Kambria’s advisory board. Our CEO, Dr. Thuc Vu, will also join the advisory boards of TomoChain and Midas Protocol.
Kambria will be the very first project to be reviewed and supported by the Midas Foundation and its Pioneers. Experts from the Midas Foundation have voted internally and given a Positive Status consensus on our project, Kambria. As such, Kambria will advance to the second round of voting by Midas Pioneers. More details can be found on this Medium post.
Last but not least on the partnership front, Roger Lim, Founding Partner at NEO Global Capital, has joined Kambria’s advisory board. With his experience and demonstrated history of working in venture capital, blockchain, and information technology industries, we strongly believe Mr. Lim will be a valuable addition to the development of Kambria platform.
Marketing
We have also made a concerted effort to grow our community and were recently invited to attend and present at several major conferences, including Consensus, NYBlockAsia, Crypto Invest Summit, Stanford DTI DevCon, and Blockchain Economic Forum in San Francisco, where Kambria won the Exponential Future Award!
Our CTO Jared Go also sat down with Tom at Crypto Change News to discuss the future of robotics and how Kambria is leveraging blockchain to decentralize and accelerate robotics development. The interview is available on Internet Archive or on Dsound.
Token Sale
Given the great progress on all fronts, we revised our business plan, and we are happy to announce a reduction of our hardcap from $25M to $19.9M. The extra tokens from our hardcap reduction will be burned. This will benefit the whole Kambria community in the long run.
Community participation and support is very much a cornerstone of the Kambria project. We welcome your feedback including enhancements, bugs, feature requests or anything that will help us improve!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email at info@kambria.io or Telegram. We always love hearing from you all!
