On June 16th in Ho Chi Minh City, Kambria CEO, Dr. Thuc Vu, took the stage with several other innovation leaders at the OKEX Vietnam Cooperation Summit 2019 for a panel discussion on Decentralized Finance. The event was held at the Gem Center, and featured a number of world-class speakers from well-known blockchain projects such as OKEX, Ontology, Tron, and QTUM.
The DeFi panel discussion was led by Genesis Capital and included an array of influential leaders discussing the value that blockchain has brought to the world in comparison to traditional financial markets. Blockchain, also facilitated through the use of smart contracts, is a highly disruptive, permissionless financial service that provides access to valuable financial services for countless underserved people across the world.
In addition to Dr. Vu, the panel included:
- Rongbin Li, Co-Founder of Genesis Capital
- Ming Zhongxing, CEO of Blockcloud
- David Lee, CEO of YEECO
- Hung Nguyen, CEO of KardiaChain
- Quang Nhat Nguyen, CEO of VIC
Dr. Vu, who has worked with thousands of people in Vietnam and understands this great need, shared his thoughts on what the future of finance looks like and how it can be applied to solve some of the problems within legacy financial systems. Through the use of decentralized blockchain, millions of underbanked people can finally have free and fair access to vital financial services. Additionally, Dr. Vu shared information about Kambria, our native KAT token, and how Kambria is pushing innovation to new heights in Vietnam.
Kambria is very active in Vietnam, participating in many events focused on AI, robotics, and blockchain innovation. Currently, we are spearheading the organization of the Vietnam AI Grand Challenge, a government-backed initiative that will bring together Vietnam’s best AI talent and support corporations in Vietnam and globally. 180 teams have now registered to compete for their share of $40,000 in prizes.
